Forest Lake Area High School Athletics and Activities

Boys tennis orders new uniforms every other year.  JV, and Varsity  use the same uniform as some players move back and forth between the teams.  

2024 is the first year of our uniform cycle. Ordering information available in March.

A shirt and shorts are required.  There is an option to purchase an additional sweatshirt and a hat.  Designs for warm ups change every two years--on opposite year of uniform change.

The team takes a picture for the yearbook and whole squad poster early in the season.  Players may request individual photos as well.  Picture purchase is optional.

Shoes

Players have access to a pre-season discount code to purchase court shoes through Tennis Warehouse.  

Code is VASS334X. Code is only good for first month of the season.

There is no required brand of shoe for the team.  Actual tennis court shoes provide stability and support for playing tennis and don't leave marks on the court.  Running shoes/regular athletic shoes do not provide adequate foot/ankle support.

RacquetsNew to tennis? No idea what racquet to purchase? The team has racquets you can try and the coaches can help with options to consider.

MIddle School Players do not need to provide a racquet.  A grant from USTA Northern allows us to provide racquets for middle school players to use in season.

We have extra team racquets if you are looking to try out a few options before you buy.

Micheal Lynne's Tennis Shop - St Louis Park--They carry a wide variety of racquets and generally have good deals on clearance racquets or last year's models.  Also carry shoes.  Very helpful staff. Offer stringing.
