Who are the Captains?

Where and when do we practice?

Dryland Practices: These practices are held in the early part of the season as we await the snow to accumulate. These will be held at Forest Lake High School.

On Hill Practices: The team practices at Wild Mountain Mon, Tues, and Thurs. Practice starts at 4 and goes till 6.

  • Bus transportation to and from practice is provided. The bus leaves the high school at 2:45 and arrives back at school at 7:30.

Where and when do we race?

We have 5 conference races throughout the season. These races are held at either Wild Mountain or Afton Alps. Races start at 5pm. In addition to the 5 conference races, we also have a sections race held at Giants Ridge.

In years past we have even participated in invitationals (Invites) for extra race practice. These have included the Wild Mountain Invite, Afton Alps Invite, and the MLK Invite @ Giants Ridge.

Do I need a season pass at Wild Mountain?

Yes, you will need a full season pass. If you have questions on purchasing one, email coach Trevor Pinewski.

What gear do I need?

To participate on the team you need a helmet, goggles, skis, boots, and poles.

  • Racing specific skis are encouraged!

We also highly recommend athletes to have a good winter coat, snow pants, gloves, and base layers. We practice outside during the winter, it gets cold.

Where should I look for Equipment?

1.The Forest Lake Ski Swap! This fundraiser for the team is a great place to find equipment at a great price.

2. Local Ski Shops - Get expert advice and help when trying to find the right equipment for your skiing ability.

  • Hi-Tempo - White Bear Lake, MN
  • Joe's Ski Shop - St. Paul, MN

I still have questions, now what?

You can email Head Coach, Trevor Pinewski, reach out to a captain, or a parent from the team.
