Forest Lake Area High School Athletics and Activities

Good Afternoon, 

Based on today's announcement by the state and the MSHSL we will be unable to practice until March 30th. You can see the statement from the state high school league here. There are a lot of unknowns right now which can be frustrating. 

Please be patient as the state and the MSHSL works through this. I will continue to communicate through google classroom, email, and on our website as more information becomes available.

The season started on March 9th! 

Practice Monday - Friday 2:45-4:45 (sometimes earlier, sometimes later)

Practice Saturday March 14th (8-10am) 

Parent Meeting 6pm March 12th- learning stairs at FLHS

Apparel Store open until March 18th

Optional Uniform Purchase open until March 18th

***You MUST use your school google account! Student-athletes only. Parents will be invited once the athlete joins. 

Middle School Tryouts:

7th and 8th grade girls interested in trying out for high school track and field can register through fee pay. They must have an up to date sports physical. Tryouts will be the first week of practice and athletes will know Friday if they will stay with the varsity team. What we look for during the try out is if they have the capacity to help the varsity team within that season. If we believe it is not the right fit, families will receive a full refund and can sign up for Middle School Track which starts in April. 

We understand that there will be meets where a parent(s) or grandparent(s) would like to drive an athlete home versus the athlete taking the bus back to the high school.  In order to ensure the safety of the athlete(s), we are requiring a Transportation Permission Slip to be filled out and returned to Coach Swanberg BEFORE the bus leaves for the meet.  You may pick up this form in the Activites Office at the high school.  No texts, voicemails or any other forms of communication will be accepted.  We highly discourage parents from picking up their athlete(s) from meets.  WE ARE A TEAM and as a team, we should be together from the time we leave the high school to our return.  We understand that this might be an inconvenience for last minute plans but hope that you will understand that we are following school policy.  Thank You!!
